(Australia, 1977) Se dio a conocer como artista contemporáneo joven con varias exposiciones en Belfast entre 1995 y 1998. En esta época, Oliver también comenzó a ilustrar cubiertas de libros para las casas editoriales locales. Entre los años 1999 y 2000, Oliver viajó a través de América y de Australia, y se estableció en Sydney un tiempo para trabajar como ilustrador y pintor freelance. En 2004, su libro Cómo atrapar una estrella, que el Fondo de Cultura Económica ha lanzado en el mercado español la semana anterior, fue publicado por los libros de HarperCollins Children’s. Tras el éxito internacional de este título, Oliver hizo Perdido y encontrado, que fue un éxito más de ventas y aclamado por la crítica; este libro ganó el Premio de Oro para Libros Infantiles de Nestlé en 2005.
