David Trueba (Madrid, 1969) estudió Periodismo y colabora en prensa escrita desde hace años; sus artículos se han recogido en varios volúmenes. Ha estado detrás de espacios de televisión muy reconocidos y particulares. Como director de cine su carrera abarca obras como La buena vida, su primera película, de 1996, o Vivir es fácil con los ojos cerrados, que ganó seis premios Goya en 2014, entre otros los de Mejor Película, Mejor Director y Mejor Guión. Sus novelas, publicadas en Anagrama y traducidas a numerosas lenguas, le han hecho ganar la fidelidad de los lectores: Abierto toda la noche (1995), Cuatro amigos (1999), Saber perder (2008, Premio de la Crítica y finalista del Premio Médicis en su edición francesa), Blitz (2015) y Tierra de campos (2017). En Anagrama también ha publicado los breves ensayos La tiranía sin tiranos y Ganarse la vida, así como el guión y el DVD de su película Madrid 1987.
