PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH IMPACT OF THB FOR SEXUAL EXPLOTATION ON FEMALE VICTIMS

The health of victims of trafficking in human beings has been analysed mainly in terms of health risks, health care and medical services. However, the consequences on the psychological health of trafficked victims remain largely unknown. The PHIT Project aims to increase the knowledge about the psychological health impact of human trafficking on female victims of sexual exploitation with a double objective: to define its nature and identify the symptoms associated with it and to raise attention to the need of a proper intervention with trafficked victims. This book gathers the main outputs of an EU-funded research project that based on quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
