JEFF NOON (Droylsden, 1957). Autor británico de culto que se ha labrado una reputación perdurable en la narrativa de ciencia ficción y se ha ampliado a otros géneros. En su juventud, sus inquietudes artísticas le llevaron a ser guitarrista en la escena punk de Manchester y a experimentar con la pintura y el arte dramático. Empezó a escribir obras de teatro, pero su reconocimiento internacional llegó con su primera novela Vurt (1993), merecedora del premio Arthur C. Clarke, y con la que inició una subversiva serie narrativa que recreaba un universo rompedor. Aunque ya había utilizado elementos del thriller en algunas de sus obras, El Rey Perdido es su consagración al género negro.
