The latest surgical, radiation, and chemotherapeutic protocols for the treatment of head and neck cancer are presented. The book approaches each disease process from a multidisciplinary perspective, offering the reader a guide to the diagnosis, initial treatment, adjuvant therapy, supportive therapy, and post-operative follow-up, with evidence-based protocols from surgeons as well as those from non-surgical specialties for specific disease entities (i.e. laryngeal cancer, base of tongue cancer, etc.). Each disease topic is reviewed by a surgeon, radiation oncologist, and a medical oncologist to create a multidisciplinary "tumor board" approach to patient care, and options for treatment of each site will be presented in three distinct sections.
