Blood-red muzzle flash licked out of the silencer of an automatic weapon. The shot was barely audible. There was a short pop!, and the snarling German Shepherd writhed on the ground. A brief twitch, and the animal lay motionless on the cold asphalt.
The uniformed security guard raised his submachine gun. The mans face was wide with terror. Before the security guard could fire his weapon, there was a second pop.
A red spot appeared on the security guards forehead and quickly grew larger. The man staggered. Then he fell flat on his face. He landed heavily on the asphalt.
Two masked men stepped out of the darkness of the night.
They wore dark clothing and balaclavas that left only their eyes uncovered. One of them was armed with an automatic weapon with a long silencer attached to its barrel. A sports bag slung over his shoulder.
The other one was carrying a Uzi-type submachine gun.
The man with the automatic device pointed at the dead guard.
"We need to move the dead man away from there. Hes lying right in the light," he whispered.
