Sinopsis de HISTORY OF NON-DUAL MEDITATIONS METHODS

The aim of this book is to study certain meditation methods followed not only by religious traditions or metaphysical movements that are still alive nowadays like Advaita Vedanta, Kabbalah (within the Jewish tradition), Christianity or Islam (particularly Sufism), but also practiced by other currents or schools that, even though already gone, significantly influenced the West. This is the case of Neoplatonism or Stoicism, whose influence was felt by ancient and medieval Christianity, or Greco-Egyptian Hermetism, which played an important role in the European cultural Renaissance from the 15th century on. A special consideration has been given to Christian tradition, introducing some of the most representative authors of recollection and their meditation methods.

Tapa blanda

Para todo aquel que quiera iniciarse, o se encuentre ya en el camino de la meditación, e incluso para curiosos de estos temas, su lectura será de una ayuda inestimable, rigurosa y completa y también muy importante, amena y entretenida para pasar buenos momentos de lectura. Dar las gracias y felicitar al autor por plasmar de esta forma tan didáctica y amena, un tema tan complejo y respaldado por una amplia y rigurosa documentación. La edición en rústica de editorial Sanz y Torres es compacta y manejable,pese a sus 615 páginas. Buen tamaño de letra en papel sin brillos que facilita la lectura sin reflejos indeseados y permite subrayado para quién lo desee. Lo dicho, imprescindible. Buena lectura. Este libro también existe traducido al español.
