Gary Marcus, nacido en Baltimore en 1970, es profesor de Psicología en la Universidad de Nueva York y director del NYU Infant Language Learning Center. Editor de la revista Norton Psychology Reader, sus investigaciones sobre neurociencia del desarrollo cognitivo han sido publicadas en más de cuarenta artículos. Ha sido miembro del prestigioso Center for Advanced Study in the Behaviorial Sciences de Stanford. Escribe regularmente en New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Newsday y Los Angeles Times. Ha publicado La mente algebraica: integración, conexión y ciencia cognitiva y El nacimiento de la mente, Ariel, 2005. Ha sido entrevistado en dos ocasiones por Eduard Punset para el programa Redes de tve.
