Escrito por Judith Kerr

Nació en Berlín en el seno de una familia judía. En 1933 debió abandonar Alemania huyendo de los nazis. Se radicó primero en Suiza, luego en Francia y finalmente en Inglaterra. Allí finalizó sus estudios de Arte.
Trabajó como pintora, diseñadora y guionista de la BBC hasta comenzar, bastante más tarde, su labor como escritora. Ha publicado cinco libros, todos ellos con sus propias ilustraciones.
