Katherine Woodfine nació en Lancashire en 1983. Estudió en la Universidad de Bristol pero ahora vive en Londres. Su primer trabajo fue en la librería Waterstones en Lancaster. Más tarde dirigió una librería y una galería en Cornerhouse, el centro internacional de artes visuales y cine de Manchester, y también trabajó para la oficina del noroeste de Inglaterra del Arts Council , especializada en literatura.
