Dan Rhodes (Purley, Inglaterra, 1972) estudió Humanidades y Escritura Creativa en la Universidad de Glamorgan. Hasta la fecha es autor de seis libros: los volúmenes de relatos Antropology (2000) y Don t Tell Me The Truth About Love (2001), que le valieron elogios de la crítica por su extraordinario sentido del humor, su utilización del registro de lo grotesco y su innegable talento para contar historias de amor, rasgos que se confirmaron con las novelas Timoleon Vieta vuelve a casa (Alfaguara, 2004), El cochecito blanco (Alfaguara, 2005), que escribió bajo el pseudónimo Danuta de Rhodes, yOro (Alfaguara, 2008).
