Common Goal by Rachel Reid is a beautiful, low-angst addition to the Game Changers series. The romance between veteran goalie Eric and younger bartender Kyle is both tender and incredibly hot. Reid handles Eric’s late-in-life bisexual awakening with immense care and realism, making his journey of self-discovery deeply moving. The age gap is executed perfectly, with mutual respect anchoring their connection rather than power imbalances. It balances steamy sports romance with genuine emotional depth. If you love sweet, low-drama romances with mature communication, this book is an absolute must-read.
