The aim of this volume is to make a statement on the importance of research on Audiovisual Translation, both in its different varieties of production (dubbing, subtitling, surtitling, voice-over and e-learning) and in its relationship with language acquisition. On the whole, it is a merging of applied theory and practice, with a willingness to encourage a dialogue between scholars specialized in this field that may expand to other fields. L'objectiu d'aquest volum és donar a conèixer la importància de la recerca sobre la Traducció Audiovisual, tant en les seues diferents varietats de producció (doblatge, subtitulat, sobretitulat, locució i e-learning) com en la seua relació amb l'adquisició del llenguatge. En general, es tracta d'una fusió de teoria i pràctica aplicades, amb la voluntat de fomentar un diàleg entre acadèmics especialitzats en aquest camp que puga estendre's a altres camps.
