Jo Nesbø (Oslo, 1960), l’autor de l’aclamada sèrie del detectiu Harry Hole, està considerat el rei de la novel·la negra nòrdica. La trajectòria vital i literària de Nesbø és singular. Abans de convertir-se en escriptor, es va allistar com a voluntari a l’exèrcit noruec i més tard ha estat guitarrista i lletrista d’un grup de rock, però el 1996 va iniciar el seu camí en la literatura.
