This book explains the little known relationship of Zubiri with Catalonia. It covers his days at the Autonomous University during the Republic, his relationship with Cardinal Vidal i Barraquer, the Carmelite Bartomeu Xiberta and Father Lluís Carreras i Mas, who helped him in his secularization process as well as his tenure at the University of Barcelona in the postwar years. The philosopher had other interesting relationships with disciples such as M. Aurèlia Capmany, Raimon Panikkar, Josep Palau i Fabre, etc., and he returned to Catalonia occasionally during the 1960’s. The book also covers the Catalonian reception of Zubiri’s philosophy in the middle of last century.
