Robert Frost (San Francisco, 1874 - Boston, 1963). A partir del 1912 residí a Anglaterra, on féu amistat amb Dylan Thomas, que l'induí a publicar A Boy's Will (1913) i North of Boston (1914). Tornà als EUA, on es dedicà a l'ensenyament i continuà escrivint poemes, publicats a New Hampshire (1923), West Running Brook (1936) i altres. Quaderns Crema ha publicat Gebre i sol el 2003.
