Our striving to understand the nature of things hints, perhaps, at the possibility of a different kind of redemption.

Escrito por Henry Marsh

Henry Marsh (Oxford, 1950) cursó Ciencias Políticas, Filosofía y Economía en la Universidad de Oxford, antes de estudiar Medicina en el Royal Free Hospital de Londres. Ingresó en el Colegio Real de Cirujanos en 1984, y ejerció durante más de treinta años de especialista en neurocirugía en el Atkinson Morley del St. George's Hospital de Londres hasta su jubilación en 2015. Su primer libro, Ante todo no hagas daño (Salamandra, 2016), obtuvo el PEN Ackerley Prize y el South Bank Sky Arts Award, se convirtió en un éxito de ventas internacional y se tradujo a más de treinta idiomas. Confesiones (Salamandra, 2018), su segunda obra, fue finalista del National Book Critics Circle Award (2017) en el apartado de biografías. Además, el doctor Marsh ha protagonizado dos documentales (Your Life in Their Hands, ganador del Premio Royal Television Society Gold Medal, y The English Surgeon, que ganó un Emmy) y fue nombrado Comendador de la Orden del Imperio Británico en 2010. Su último libro, Al final, asuntos de vida o muerte, fue publicado por Salamandra en 2023.
