Sinopsis de EL DERECHO DE PROPIEDAD EN DOMINGO DE SOTO Y MANCIO
In the current era, of great ambiguities in many aspects, it is always convenient to return to classical ethics. Especially when it comes to property rights. Domingo de Soto, who worked for Emperor Carlos V and was one of the first teachers of the School of Salamanca, systematized the moral thought of the sixteenth century. Among other aspects, he was concerned with the correct use of material goods. Mancio, his disciple, with great parallelism, studied the domain. Both postulate that the individual property right is a natural right that no one can abrogate and that extends to all creation.
Men, and very particularly wise men, must be studied in their environment. This is what the author of this book does, breaking down the contribution of each one of them to the moral dimension of this aspect that is so important for the economy and, ultimately, for current and future society.
