Peter Stamm (Weinfelden, 1963) estudió Filología Inglesa, Psicología, Psicopatología e Informática en Zúrich. Ha vivido largas temporadas en París, Nueva York y los países escandinavos. Desde 1990 se dedica a la literatura. Ha escrito cinco obras de teatro y colabora habitualmente en la radio y la televisión. Desde 1997 es redactor de la revista literaria Entwürfe für Literatur. Acantilado ha publicado sus novelas Agnes (2001), Paisaje aproximado (2003), Tal día como hoy (2007), Siete años (2011), Noche es el día (2016) y Monte a través (2019), los libros de relatos Lluvia de hielo (2002), En jardines ajenos (2006), Los voladores (2010) y A espaldas del lago (2014), y el cuento Marcia de Vermont (2020).
