Dentro de la formación de un Técnico de Mantenimiento de Aeronaves es básico el conocimiento de los sistemas de las mismas. En esta obra se ha tratado de cubrir todas las necesidades de formación básica que tiene que conocer un futuro tecnico de mantenimiento, tratados desde tres puntos de vista y con un objetivo. Primero, que cumpla con lo especificado en la normativa vigente. Segundo, tratarlo desde un aspecto no excesivamente teorico. Tercero, tratarlo desde el punto de vista que me han proporcionado los largos años de experiencia a pie de avion en hangares y pistas en gran parte del mundo. Todo esto con el objetivo de situar al tecnico con las herramientas intelectuales y practicas necesarias para que puedan recibir los cursos de tipo de aeronave con un alto grado de aprovechamiento, y ademas inculcar en el alumnado formas, normas y costumbres para que, sabiendo lo que no debe hacer, pueda ir efectuando trabajos que le ayudaran a sentirse util mientras va adquiriendo la experiencia imprescindible que le permita llegar donde el mismo marque su objetivo.

Fatigue of the pressurized fuselages of transport aircraft is a significant problem all builders and users of aircraft have to cope with for reasons associated with assuring a sufficient lifetime and safety, and formulating adequate inspection procedures. These aspects are all addressed in various formal protocols for creating and maintaining airworthiness, including damage tolerance considerations. In most transport aircraft, fatigue occurs in lap joints, sometimes leading to circumstances that threaten safety in critical ways. The problem of fatigue of lap joints has been considerably enlarged by the goal of extending aircraft lifetimes. Fatigue of riveted lap joints between aluminium alloy sheets, typical of the pressurized aircraft fuselage, is the major topic of the present book. Over the last few decades, both the aeronautics and space disciplines have greatly influenced advances in controls, sensors, data fusion and navigation.
